Editorial Policy
NerdClean is a cleaning guidance resource. This page explains how we research, write, and maintain the advice you find here.
Practical accuracy over engagement
Our goal is to give you guidance that actually works. We don't exaggerate effectiveness or omit failure conditions to make a technique sound more appealing.
Fabric and material awareness
Treatment guides are written with fabric type and surface in mind. We flag when a technique is safe for some materials but harmful for others.
No affiliate bias
NerdClean does not recommend specific brands. We describe product types (enzyme cleaner, oxygen bleach, etc.) because the category matters — not the label.
Transparent about limits
We tell you when a stain is unlikely to be fully removed, when professional cleaning is the better option, and when a technique is experimental or not universally agreed upon.
Content kept current
Cleaning science and product formulations change. We aim to review and update guides when guidance becomes outdated.
A note on this early version: NerdClean is currently in development. Guides and tool results shown here are placeholders. The full editorial process described above will govern all content published at launch.
